'Facebook' for Apple's iOS Platform

Facebook for iOS is picking up a major new gimmick today, which is intended to give Foursquare-style suggestions on the spots that clients visit. Called Place Tips, the apparatus will present posts and photographs that a client's companions have imparted at the same area that is being gone by.

For instance, when going by a restaurant, if a Facebook companion has already been to the same spot, Place Tips will show any photographs and posts that were made at that area, telling clients what may respect request or what to stay away from. The Tips draws on posts from the place’s page and from the user’s friends.

''From friends recommendations to information about the places and things that interest you, Facebook helps you connect with the world around you. To better show you this content at just the right place and time, today we're launching a new feature called place tips. Place tips will show you fun, useful and relevant info about the place you're at. Tapping on place tips won't post on Facebook or show anyone where you are.''

Starting today, iPhone clients may start seeing Place Tips at the highest point of their news encourages inside the iOS application. Tapping on a tip will show cards with data about the area and in addition posts and photographs from companions. Spot Tips are conveyed to clients who have given Facebook authorization to get to their area, and it can be incapacitated in the Settings menu. The gimmick utilizes a mix of cell systems, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Facebook Bluetooth guides to focus client area and convey data.
